Ceramic Break Sculpture Park

Comic Book Competition
Future 2030

Comic book flyer

My brother Jim and I have been collecting comics for many years. I love comics and I wanted to be more involved with them even though I’m a full time sculptor working on my big baby Ceramic Break Sculpture Park. We’ve created three books over the years at the park and wanted to create more publications so we’d have more product to sell in our gift shop. Hence, the contest.

Future 2030 is the first comic in hopefully a series of collector items. The theme is all about life in the future in about 10 years time. We plan on running the contest every 3 years if this first one goes well. It’s a unique opportunity for artists to get involved in a publication without too much hassle and maybe win a Batman # 3 as well!

We have galleries at the park and wanted to combine the contest with one of our art openings. That is why we’re requiring a signed, laminated A3 version of the contestant’s cover design to display at the opening. Everyone who enters the contest, regardless if you’re a finalist or not, will have their cover design on display and for sale at the opening. Good Luck!
